Global Platforms
Eventbrite, Ticket Tailor, and similar platforms are built for Western markets. They don't support cash payments, don't pay out in Naira, and their support teams are overseas. They work well for their markets — they just weren't built for ours.
DIY / Paystack
Building your own ticketing on Paystack gives you payment processing, but you're responsible for everything else — event pages, check-in, agent management, reporting, and reconciliation. It's flexible, but it's a full-time job on top of running your event.
Local Alternatives
Local platforms understand the market but often lack the infrastructure for scale — limited dashboards, no cash agent networks, inconsistent support, and basic reconciliation. They solve some problems but create others.
